Counseling services are provided individually, as a family, as a couple, or in a group setting.
Is there a charge for the services provided by the CAP Clinic?
All services provided at the CAP Clinic are free of charge.
Who provides the counseling services?
Counseling services are provided by Practicum II, Practicum III students and LPC-Interns
Are the student clinicians supervised by a licensed professional?
Yes, the student clinicians are supervised by the Clinic Director and the Supervising Clinical Therapist.

Is all the information shared by a client kept confidential?
All information placed in the client’s file is confidential. Confidentiality is breached only if the client reports an intent to harm self or others, when the client reports child or elderly abuse, and when the client’s case ends in litigation and the records are requested by the court system.
Where is the CAP Clinic located?
The CAP Clinic is located on the first floor of the UTPA Educational Complex in room EDCC 1.272.

What are the hours of operation?
The CAP Clinic is open Monday through Thursday from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm and on Fridays from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The clinic is closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays recognized by UTPA.
