South Texas Advantage Project (STAP)
The University of Texas Pan American was awarded funding from the Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families (ACF) for the South Texas Advantage Project (STAP) in October 2005.
The South Texas Advantage Project (STAP) at The University of Texas Pan-American was a grant committed to helping Head Start Teachers succeed by providing a quality educational program that would assist in achieving their dreams of becoming a Certified Early Childhood Teachers.
As a student participating in this program during your Junior and Senior year, they would be provided with Tuition and Book stipends, would have access to our Children’s Book Inventory, Course Book Inventory, teaching resources and will get the opportunity to attend annual Head Start Conferences.
We would to thank all Hidalgo County Head Start and Texas Migrant Head Start Teachers who took advantage of this grant opportunity as they embarked on their educational journey.
