Coca-Cola First Generation Scholars Program
Due to the generosity of the Coca-Cola Foundation, we have created the Coca Cola First Generation Scholars program at UT Pan-American. Scholarships are renewable for up to four years of undergraduate study, or until graduation, whichever comes first. Recipients must maintain a 2.8 cumulative institutional GPA to continue in the program. The program will target incoming freshmen whose parents or siblings have not attended a college or university prior to the applicant’s enrollment at UTPA. Award amount will be up to $6,125 annually.
15 Hour Cash Back Program
15 Hour Cash Back is an incentive program designed to encourage students to enroll in 15 hours per semester and graduate in 4 years. Students that meet the eligibility requirements can receive up to $500 during each regular semester (fall or spring)
To be eligible to receive the 15 Hour Cash Back award, students must:
- Be in a degree seeking program towards a first Bachelor's degree
- Have a 2.5 cumulative institutional GPA
- Complete 15 hours that count towards your degree during the prior regular semester (fall/spring)
- Be enrolled for 15 hours during the current regulars semester (fall/spring)
- Not have tuition, fees and book costs fully covered by scholarships or grants.
There is no applicaton for the 15 Hour Cash Back program. Students that meet the requirements after Fall 2012 grades post will be automatically identified and the award posted.

VAMOS/UTPA Endowed Scholarship Program
The University of Texas-Pan American Foundation and Valley Alliance of Mentors for Opportunities and Scholarships (VAMOS) have partnered to create the VAMOS/UTPA Endowed Scholarship Program. Scholarships are renewable for up to four years of undergraduate study, or until graduation, whichever comes first. Award amount will be determined by a student's unmet financial need, as determined by the UTPA Financial Aid Office, not to exceed the annual amount awarded through the VAMOS Scholarship program, administered by the VAMOS Board of Directors.
Texas Department of Transportation Conditional Grant Program
The Conditional Grant Program provides financial assistance to eligible economically disadvantaged students interested in working for the Texas Department of Transportation.
The Conditional Grant Program is available to eligible students pursuing a degree in civil engineering.
The grant consists of tuition, fees and stipend. The grant amount is a maximum of $3,000 each semester or $6,000 per year.
