In order to be admitted to the Master of Accountancy program, the student should first meet all requirements for admission to graduate study at The University of Texas—Pan American, as well as the MACC requirements specified below. To apply for graduate school, click here.

All students applying for admission to the MACC program should provide the following to the University Office of Admissions and Records (through the Graduate Office):

  1. Application
  2. Official transcripts from all previously attended colleges and universities
  3. Official GMAT score
  4. If necessary, catalog(s) for evaluation of transcript(s).

Students should also provide the following to the College of Business Administration, Office of Graduate Studies:

  1. Photocopy of application
  2. Photocopies of transcripts from previously attended colleges and universities
  3. Letter of Intent explaining why the student is pursuing a MACC degree
  4. GMAT Scores

The student should note the following classification and admission criteria for the MACC program that are different from those for admission to the University for Graduate Study but are the same as those for admission to the MBA program.

Special Student Admission

  • Available to students with an undergraduate or graduate degree from a regionally accredited institution recognized by the Council on Postsecondary Accreditation but lacking one or more of the following:
    • Official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate work
    • GMAT score

Graduate Student Admission Classification

  • Students who satisfy the University graduate admission criteria must then be evaluated for admission to the MACC program. Admission is based on an indication that the student will succeed in the MACC program.

Currently the GMAT score in combination with the GPA of the last 60 hours are used in conjunction with the letter of application as the basis for admission to the MACC program. Students can appeal to the MACC committee for admission based on some other strong indication of success in the program.
