Department of Modern Languages and Literature

Welcome

The Department of Modern Languages & Literature consists of the subject areas of Spanish, and French. A major, leading to a Bachelor of Arts Degree is offered in French, and Spanish, and a minor is offered in French, Spanish Latin American Studies, and Medical Spanish. Beginning Courses are offered in Portuguese and Chinese. Teacher Certification plans in Spanish and in French are available at the elementary and secondary level.

The Department also offers a graduate program with a major in Spanish leading to the Master of Arts degree and the Co-operative PhD program in Spanish.
