Bachelor of Arts - English (Fall 2007+)
The Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in English requires 39 semester hours of English, of which 36 must be advanced. Of those 39 hours, 3 will be satisfied by the Core requirement that all students take an English 23xx course of their choosing. Students who officially became English majors prior to Fall 2007 may be following previous catalog requirements. The UTPA Registrar has all undergraduate catalogs available online. If you have questions about the English Major and specific requirements for your degree, please contact Elena Reyna at 665-3421 to make an appointment with an English advisor or email the Undergraduate English Advising (UEA) Team at advisingenglish@gmail.com. For individual course details, see our undergraduate course listing.
