Cosecha VoicesEspanol

Cosecha Voices is a collaborative project in which migrant students at the University of Texas-Pan American take an Advanced Spanish Composition class that is designed to explore and document their experiences growing-up in a migrant farmworking family, while at the same time strengthening the students’ Spanish skills. The project uses a humanistic approach to the complicated social experiences of migrants and allows migrant students to come to terms with the affirmation and celebration of their status as important contributors to U.S. society. At the same time the documenting of the students’ testimonios/stories serves to raise public awareness about the experience of migrant farmworkers.
