Introduction
The Center for Online Learning, Teaching and Technology (COLT) at the University of Texas-Pan American serves as the centralized utility for online education for the University. To offer a course at the university, a faculty member or members need to complete the Principles of Good Practice Agreement. This self-study acts as an agreement between the course author or authors, and the Center at the highest quality online intructional materials will be delivered to students. Instructors should complete the agreement after the course has been developed but before the course is taught for the first time.

COLT provides resources such as training, online library, database access, online course evaluation instrument, technical support and course platform support for courses.
