Developing course materials to be utilized in Blackboard- be it augmented, hybrid or fully online- gives rise to the need to ensure that all students are able to access them without restriction. When accommodations are requested by students, it is standard procedure that faculty meet the needs of their students (go to Standard Procedures).
Accessibility is a legal requirement for all government websites. From the term provided below, all Blackboard courses are websites and need to adhere to the policies of our institution (Look at Standard Procedures). The laws that pertain to our institution are Section 508 and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
