What is TSI? TASP is now called Texas Success Initiative (TSI). A new test, called THEA (Texas Higher Education Assessment) replaces what was formerly known as the TASP. Students who fail one or more sections of the exam must enroll in developmental education every semester until passing standards have been achieved.
Developmental Education Courses: Reading:..................ENG 1310 Math:.......................MATH 1300 and 1334 Writing:...................ENG 1320
Students who do not enroll in a developmental education course will be assigned a TSI lab ($105 fee) and must begin attending the lab on or before the first day of class. Students who do not submit THEA test scores (or proof THEA exemption) will be restricted to developmental education courses.
