About Us

The Veterans Business Outreach Center at the University of Texas Pan American provides business training, counseling, technical assistance, and mentoring to veterans, reservist, National Guard, and active duty personnel.

The Veterans Business Outreach Program (VBOP) is designed to provide entrepreneurial development services such as business training, counseling and mentoring, and referrals for eligible veterans owning or considering starting a small business.

The UTPA Veterans Business Outreach Program is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.

VBOC Center Locations

The U.S. Small Business Administration has 15 organizations participating in this cooperative agreement and serving as Veterans Business Outreach Centers (VBOC).

The center locations of these offices are located in ten regions of the United States.

SBA and TVC

This program is made possible through the University of Texas-Pan American Foundation by a grant from the Texas Veterans Commission Fund for Veterans' Assistance (FVA). The FVA provides grants to organizations serving veterans and their families. VBOC is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration. Reasonable arrangements for persons with disabilities will be made, if requested at least two weeks in advance. Assistance for the hearing impaired can be attained by calling the TDD at (956) 665-5071.
