Addictions Studies Program

Within the State of Texas, there is a growing concern about the lack of qualified professionals to work with individuals with addictions. An even greater need exists for professionals who are bilingual and bicultural. The Addictions Studies Program was created to help address these needs.

The Department of Rehabilitation at The University of Texas-Pan American offers various coursework options for students interested in the field of addictions, prevention and treatment (also known as substance abuse counseling). This coursework is offered through the undergraduate program in Rehabilitative Services.
